Sharing our testimony not only lets others know about the goodness of God in our life,
we are also a being a model for a life of gratitude and thanksgiving.

Isaiah 12:4
Give thanks to the Lord, call on His Name.
Make known his deeds among the peoples;
Make them remember that His Name is exalted.

Be blessed as you read on. And, be the one to glorify God
by sharing God’s goodness in your life too.

No Longer The Same

By Jenny Then

Since my baptism at River on 27 March 2016, I have grown from a baby Christian to a growing Christian. Praise God.

Initially, life as a Christian for me was tough because I felt there were a lot of Do’s and Don’ts to observe. One that I really struggled with was not to gamble. Being a regular 4-D and TOTO gambler for more than 20 years, there was an internal struggle within my soul. […]

Walking In His Prosperity

By Ken Lim

I was taught as a young Christian, how important it is to honor the Lord with our tithes and offerings. One of the sermons, the preacher challenged the congregation with an analogy, that if we could not give to God our $100 now, how would we give obediently when we were given more? At that time, I was a rather poor university student. All I had was $50 for the entire week. On that day when I heard the message, I had only $5 on me. You may think $5 is nothing, but to me, it was a situation of God versus dinner! […]

He Sets Me Free

By Ruth Choo

Since I became a believer of Christ in 2000, my life has changed greatly. I began to spend time with God daily through prayer and reading the Bible. One of the first things I learned is to obey God’s commandment to give my tithe. Though at that time I was still working hard to repay a huge sum of bank loan, every time when I received my salary, I put aside 10% for tithing. I not only have been tithing faithfully since year 2000 till now, I also give generously through offering to build God’s kingdom. I remember in the beginning of 2013, I was writing down my goals for the year, and one of them was to tithe 14% of my salary, not just 10%. And that year my salary increased by 14%! […]

Who Am I

By Edmund Sim

When I was growing up as a teenager, my parents ran an embroidery business. Together with them and a younger sister, I had always thought that I had a happy and complete family. I was living in this bliss until when I was 16 years old, in the midst of a major examination. My mother revealed a shocking truth to me – that my father was not my biological father […]

No Doubt No Gout

By Ken Lim

One night back in 2008, I was woken up during my sleep by a very sharp pain in the joint at my big toe. It felt like I had twisted my toe joint. So I started to reposition myself in the bed, hoping to reduce the pain. However, no matter what position I was in, the sharp pain persisted […]

From BROKEN To BLESSED

By Ruth Choo

Forty years ago in 1976, at the age of 20, I was married. For almost ten years since, I enjoyed a stable marriage and family life, with two children. Then, in August 1987, my husband had a fall at work and was rushed to the hospital. After an operation, he was in a coma for a month. Every day, I wished he would wake up. Unfortunately, the doctors diagnosed him with brain damage […]
